Discover Silver Metal Clay

September 28, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

Registration has closed because of maximum enrollment. Check back next year.

Discover a new art medium, metal clay, a product made from recycled copper, silver or gold reclaimed from film, dental work or computer boards. Follow directions from instructor Kristy Walden to mold a sample of silver metal clay, texture it, shape it, and fire it just as you would ceramic clay. After firing, the material that resembles and works like ceramic clay, is transformed into pure silver metal. Buff it, polish it, burnish it, paint it, patina it. You will take home a beautiful sterling silver pendant. Have fun working the material and watching your creativity awaken. No prior experience working with metal clay is needed. Please bring a lunch.

A minimum of 5 students need to be registered by Sunday, September 20 in order to hold the class. Maximum of 5 students. To  register for this class, click “Add to Cart” below or phone 906-884-7663.
