Summer Solstice Celebration

Join us at the Old Carpenter Shop/Folk School in the Porkies as the Friends of the Porkies celebrate the Summer Solstice. Enjoy refreshments and meet new friends. Here’s our schedule of activities:

6:00–7:00 p.m.: grill a hot dog (hot dogs, buns, condiments, veggies, chips, etc. provided by Friends), play Kubb, take part in the traditional “Making a Fresh Start” bonfire and learn about Finnish solstice history, celebrate Solstice through poetry

7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.: music by Laula Aika, Twin Cities performers

Foul weather or fair, indoors or outside under the stars, you will leave this celebration with a smile on your face.
