Bring a bit of fabric arts history to life with instructor Donna Kallner as you use nalbinding, a fabric creation technique predating both knitting and crocheting, to loop a toothbrush rug. Carbon dating places the oldest known samples at 6500 BC. Originally made of wood or bone, more recent needles were often carved from toothbrush handles. Finnish miner's wives used nalbinding to knit socks, scarves, mittens and sweaters.
