  Enrollment in this class is closed. Students in Poppy Hatinger's 2018 class selected this as "basket they most wanted to make next." You'll learn all you need to know to weave a rib style gathering basket with special emphasis on creating the frame to achieve the desired shape. Students age 12 and older are welcome. Please bring scissors, knife, towel and dishpan for soaking weaving material. Bring a lunch.

  Enrollment in this class is closed. Make flat, smooth stones a focus of attention by wrapping and weaving simple knots to embellish them. Move to a new level of blacksmithing using your new skills. Create a hand-forged steel trivet with copper rivets. Instructor Payne Anne and Bill of Peninsula Hotworks will guide you as you punch and drift holes, and rivet your trivet together. Saving the Dark: a Conservation Film

Saving the Dark documents how excessive and improper lighting robs us of our night skies, disrupts our sleep patterns and endangers nocturnal habitats. The current advances in LED technology have enabled several cities to safely light their streets and save energy without disrupting the nighttime environment.
