Eco Printing and Eco Dyeing with Silk

Discover colored dyes that you can extract from wild and domestic plant materials, and use contact printing to create your original designs on silk. Instructor Debbie Jircik helps you dip your toe in the water to experience this process. Experiment with using leaves and other botanicals to create designs, and take home your unique eco dyed silk scarf and sampler swatches to use for future inspiration. Students do not need to have prior experience with eco dyeing. Please wear an apron. Bring a lunch.
