
Nature Printing

Instructor and former Artist in Residence Marty Kotter will teach you two techniques of printing: 1. gel plate printing with real leaves and 2. carving your own print block with a nature theme and then making block prints. Cloth and paper will be provided for printing. Marty will give you ideas and directions for finishing and using your stamped pieces to make flags, bandanas, pot holders, or cards. Ages 11 through adult are welcome. Students must be mature enough to safely handle/use a sharp Exacto-knife for cutting a design into a printing block. Please bring a lunch.

Directions: Follow M-107 west from Silver City to Union Bay Campground (turn right), take first gravel road to right – you are there! We are in the old carpenter’s shop, the first building on your right.
