Sew a Hearth Broom

Join Sandy Lindblom for the next step in broom making! A Hearth Broom is larger than a whisk broom and smaller than a Kitchen Broom. Our Hearth Brooms will feature natural broom handles. Choose from a selection of handles…drift wood, beaver chews, diamond willow. Learn more decorative reed ideas and how to sew the broom. All materials provided.

A minimum of 3 students need to be registered by October 15 in order to hold the class. Maximum of 6 students.  To register for this class, click “Sign Up Online” below or call 906-884-7663. For information about refunds, click on the Refund Policy link.

Directions: From the east: Follow Engineers Memorial Highway 107 west from Silver City. Go past the Union Bay Campground road. Turn left at the sign for the Winter Sports Complex. Park in the lot at the top of the drive and enter the chalet from the deck.

From the west: At the intersection of South Boundary Road and CR 107, turn left. Go past the Union Bay Campground road. Turn left at the sign for the Winter Sports Complex. Park in the lot at the top of the drive and enter the chalet from the deck.
