Silk Art Quilting: Using the Previous Day’s Painting

Instructor: Martha Kotter, 2019 Friends of the Porkies Artist in Residence. Use your silk painting from the previous class “Silk Painting from Nature” to make a quilted hanging .  They will learn about hand quilting and making embellishments.  Although you will will not finish during class, you will leave knowing needed finishing techniques. No quilting experience is necessary. Bring your own scissors and a lunch.

Directions: Follow M-107 west from Silver City to Union Bay Campground (turn right), take first gravel road to right – you are there! We are in the old carpenter’s shop, the first building on your right.
