Snowshoe Lacing with Katie Urban

Come and lace your own traditional cross-country snowshoes. Snowshoes are an excellent way to explore Michigan’s wintery outdoors. This 8-hour course provides in-person instruction, two wooden 10×46 Iverson snowshoe frames, tubular nylon lacing material and super-A style snowshoe bindings. By the end of the day, you will walk away with your very own hand laced snowshoes.

After the class is complete you will still need to varnish your snowshoes at your own home before they can be used in the woods or on the trails. Students age 16 and older are welcome.

Please bring a lunch, and please note that this class is held at the ski chalet in the A-frame, not the Folk School building.
