Hearth Broom with Sandy VanPatten

Decorate your hearth or just a wall with a handmade piece of functional art. You will be working with full length broom corn and your choice of a large variety of reed and nylon string to tie your broom onto a natural driftwood handle. Some arm and hand strength is needed. Ages 16 and older are welcome.

A minimum of 3 students must be registered by Saturday, August 10 for the class to go. Maximum of 8 students. To register for this class, click the registration button or call 906-884-7663.

Directions: From the east: Follow Engineers Memorial Highway 107 west from Silver City. Turn right on the Union Bay Campground road, take first gravel road to right – you are there! We are in the old carpenter’s shop, the first building on your right.
