Whisk Broom with Sandy VanPatten

Sweep up dust or small messes with your handmade whisk broom, a functional piece of art. We will be using broom corn and your choice of a wide variety of colored reed and nylon to tie, decorate, and  sew your broom. Ages 16 and older are welcome.

A minimum of 3 students must be registered by Saturday, June 8 for the class to go. Maximum of 8 students. To register for this class, click the registration button or call 906-884-7663.

Directions: From the east: Follow Engineers Memorial Highway 107 west from Silver City. Turn right on the Union Bay Campground road, take first gravel road to right – you are there! We are in the old carpenter’s shop, the first building on your right.

From the west: At the intersection of South Boundary Road and CR 107, turn left. Turn right on the Union Bay Campground road, take first gravel road to right – you are there! We are in the old carpenter’s shop, the first building on your right.
